consultation

You’re ready to level up.

You are doing the good work of providing clinical support to clients and recognize the desire and goal to level up- to move to the next step in practice. That may be accumulating supervision hours for an internship in a graduate program or obtaining the necessary supervision for licensure. In either case, my experience and expertise in supervising can provide a solid foundation for moving forward in this work.

An important part of this profession is providing supervision and support to those in the field who are working toward that next level. My own strong clinical foundation drives the quality of your support. With experience in settings such as hospice and palliative care, hospital based psychiatric and behavioral care, state psychosocial rehabilitation as well as schools, I offer a strong and broad range of expertise to enhance our work together.

LET’S WORK TOGETHER

I can support and guide you toward sustainable practice.

I am providing supervision for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and for Registration and/ or Board certification for art therapists (ATR-BC).

Group of diverse hands stacked together in unity

My experience has been in an array of settings: private practice, both non-profit and state agencies, and in private hospital and hospice settings. As a director, I have guided a team of clinicians, supporting best practices and managing Affiliation Agreements for Clinical Internship and Supervision with the following higher education institutions:

  • St. Mary of the Woods College

  • Adam’s State College

  • Colorado Mesa University

  • Colorado Christian University

Supervision may include discussions around the use of assessments, art therapy interventions, theory, ethics, treatment planning, diagnosis, self-care practices, professional identity, managing the informative element of transference and counter-transference in the therapy process and standards of care. Also included are the clinical and administrative aspects of the therapy practice.

My strengths-based, person-centered approach creates an active, collaborative clinical supervision relationship.

As a supervisor, I am bringing my education, experience as a private practice art therapist, entrepreneurial skills, and unique vision to the conversation. Bringing a perspective as a professional artist and private practice owner offers a diverse framework to my supervision role.

HOW IT WORKS

We’ll start where you are

Your skill set and your goals determine our pace and approach to solid and well-founded clinical practice. Wherever you are in this process, newly graduated or experienced and ready to pursue licensure, I can support your process and work.

01

We’ll make a plan of action

We will create a supervision contract together that takes into consideration your needs and the desired focus of your practice. The plan of action is designed to give you the support you need following the state and /or credentialing board’s requirements.

02

We’ll take it one step at a time

Taking it a step at a time means there is sensitivity to the fact that life can get in the way. There may be times that supervises need to pause supervision, reschedule or reset their pace for accumulating hours. You have knowledgable support with appropriate steps needed to submit documentation and applications.

03
